Default burning oil.

okay, heres the situation. i have a 94 integra ls. i burn about 1 quart per 3000 miles. also im a college student. what should i do, i am thinking about going with the b20z short block then just using my ls head and ecu, ect. how much would that cost? or what else would be some reasonable alternatives? or should i sell my car and get a newer integra? 96-97? im confused. also, if i got a newer integra, it wouldnt be a gsr b/c my insurance is already to damn high. thanks for all your help!

I don't want to reply.... but since nobody got back to you, I'll write something here.

First off, what motor oil are u using? if you are using mobil 1 tri sync, then use something else. If you drive the car hard, it will also burn oil. burning one qt of oil isn't that bad. You don't have to get another engine or another car just because of it. Just take good care of your car and it will be ok.

Now, I feel stupid to respond to this thread... oh well....

umm i think you should find out what problem it is before you go off and just buy a b20, what happens if its not the rings, what if its the valve seals...plus those are an easy fix.......

ok, maybe i didnt make myself clear or had some underlying implications in my thread. I am very particular about my car and maybe burning oil was just an excuse. I mean i do burn some oil, but nothing i am worrying about. I am just checking into putting the b20z block in and getting rid of the ls block. I was hoping for a little more performance, but mostly torque. I was curious what the price would be and if it was a worth while investment. Sorry for the misleading post before.
