question with heater conponent interchangeability
i have a sedan that is turbo'd and when i got the car in 06 it had no heater core under the dash as well as the controls.
so i have a wagon that i am doing a rhd conversion to. i will be using all the rhd heater components for that and i will be left with the lhd setup. i was curious if the system from the wagon would fit into the sedan. because i will be switching engines and i will be making the sedan my daily and the wagon will be the queen.
i notice that the whole dash and such is all the same besides the lower console section because the wagon is taller by a few inches but i do not see how the wagon system wouldnt work.
if anyone has done it or has used parts from a wagon under dash on a sedan or hatch at that, please lmk. tia.

It looks like you probably can. look at these diagrams:
'91 5 door 4wd (i assume thats the wagon)
http://www.hondapartscheap.com/parts...el/heater-unit
'91 4 door http://www.hondapartscheap.com/parts...el/heater-unit
These look fairly identicle, but take a closer look for yourself. it seems like they share all of the same part numbers except for the whole assembely (#2).
If you have the parts it looks like its definately worth a try.
Hey I have a question for you since you have a four door, if you dont mind. I just noticed in the manual that 4 doors have a different glove box with a little shock absorber on one side.
Does that shock still do anything (I mean for its age)? I'm thinking of looking for one to put in my hatch, was just curious about them.

hmm they do look very similar besides the whole mechanical levers but i dont think that matters since what ever is coming from the wagon, will be used in the sedan. im also curious about the mounting points if they are the same.
i took my glove box apart in my wagon to get to the heater resister. its like spring action. kinda looks/feels like it helps the glove box retract back. my sedan doesnt have it.

I think it will have the same mounting points. If you look at all of the individual parts that make up the system they all share the same part numbers. Its only the whole package that has a different number (SH5 as opposed to SH3).
Thanks for answering my question too. I though the shock /spring was to keep it from slamming open when its opened.
