98 Civic Dx - odometer not recording correct mileage

Icon2 98 Civic Dx - odometer not recording correct mileage

I have a '98 civic with 17 inch rims, and if i drive say, 5 miles mileage will go up by maybe 11 miles or so its like for every mile i go my cluster goes up 4. Any suggestions?

That doesn't sound accurate. With the wrong tires your speedo may be waaaay off but not enough to do what you're describing.

a lot of old honda speedos are a little "fast", but yours is insane. sounds pretty broken.
