Icon2 Ign module?

alright guys, swapped a ZC-vtec obd1 motor into my 91 Si awhile back but I just recently got a jumper harness and dizzy.

now she aint getting any spark, ive checked everything I can think of and the ign module tested bad at autozone but I know you cant always trust the tests at autozone.

I swapped it out with another one I had laying around and no good, it also tested bad. but one of my friends said you can pop one out of the obd0 dizzy and its the same so I tried it knowing it was working when I pulled the dizzy off. now it tested bad too with still no spark,

assuming somehow my car is blowing the modules out? any ideas why this might happen?

nothing is wired myself it was a full jumped kit for ecu and dizzy.

any help would be great, I need to get this back on the road asap! (and it wont run with the old obd0 setup either now.

tested car with 2 different internal coils and the MSD coil ive been running so im pretty sure its not a coil.

I DO NOT have some of the sensor's hooked up (4wire O2 or vtec, knock. ect. but should they keep the car from getting spark?

ZC vtec? such a thing?

I have a ZC od1 conversion done last summer/spring. The module lasted about 5 months. The dizzy was purchased new from Xencron(sp). The motor died while driving, had no spark. Took the module to the part store and tested bad. Installed the new unit and vrooooooooom. Curious about the Vtec though........pic?

Dust off your multimeter. Is battery voltage reaching the coil and igniter unit inside the distributor?

All CEL codes?

Why are any sensors disconnected?

some of the sensors are not on because my car don't have them being a obd0 and i haven't ran the wires for them yet, no CEL that i can pull but being the obd1 i cant read a led and the cross wire method on the harness don't make my light blink so id assume not. should i check for continuity or a specific voltage?

and yes thazy, there are SOHC ZC, SOHC ZC VTEC and DOHC ZC made through obd0 and obd1 the non vtec ZC is the same as a D16a6 (obd0 Si motor and awd wagon motor) with a slightly different cam timing. and im about 90% sure the sohc Vtec is the same as a d16z6 with a slightly different cam timing.

"here are both SOHC and DOHC ZC engines. The non-VTEC SOHC ZC is similar to the D16A6 ('91–'96) and D16Y4 ('96–2000) engine, but with more aggressive cam timing. The SOHC VTEC ZC is similar to the D16Z6 ('91–'96). The DOHC ZC is similar to the D16A1, D16A3, D16A8, D16A9 and D16Z5 engines."

Just throwing out a possibility.

When you installed the OBD1 dizzy, did you rewire the dizzy connector?

didn't rewire anything, used a full jumper kit, ecu-both dizzy plugs-and a wire connecter plugin for obd1 spec plugs.

Does the CEL work?

should i check for continuity or a specific voltage?

OK, i have the same wire here siting on my desk from Rywire but with different color wires used. The folks at the shop said "these are the wrong plugs for doing the conversion from OBD0 to OBD1." New plugs had to be ordered. My conversion was on a 3rd gen ZC Obd0. I have photo but no option for attachment?
