Time to update my Civics interior
Well my headliner is sagging and my carpet is worn out to the floor pan from previous owners. So I'm thinking to customize it slightly. I'm thinking black carpet from the stained light grey so it will be easier to keep lean from my oil stained shoes (I work on cars all day). And I'm thinking a black headliner with somehow making the top half of the pillars black as well. I hate that light color 2 tone interior. And suggestions on if I should have the upper panels painted or have them covered with the same fabric as the headliner?
I would suggest changing your shoes after work haha.
I've seen people paint trim with plastic paint, dye trim with dye, or wrap trim pieces in suede or another type of fabric.
Suede headliner with wrapped trim looks pretty decent.

I wouldn't mind suede but I hate its maintence. My bmw has a suede steering wheel and a few other suede panels and I hate trying to keep them clean. Lol. Do you think the fabric will hold up better over time than the paint and dye due to interior trim flexing and such. And I'm sure it would be nicer for less nvh possibly between the panels?
Well I dropped off the headliner sunshade visors and all upper trim panels to be covered black. I also started dying the small upper handles and light bezels black as well. Also ordered some oem dark grey carpet at honda
I just hate the light color upper interiors. I guess I just use to my bmws solid black interior. The carpet was cheap from honda since I work there. Barely more than aftermarket for a factory fit was worth it to me
