Hello Honda tech! I'm new to the site and I came across the "type r longblock that a dude is selling with everything but harness for 1100. He's selling it cause he says he needs the money he has a receipt from when he bought the engine. Everything looks legit but the prize is the only thing troubling me. I was wondering if you guys could help me out.

I'm sorry I'm trying to upload some pictures I took of the block but my computer is being restated and it's not letting upload them. I looked for the basic stuff that's a type r should have. It has the green mark by the distributor, the intake manifold has the p73 stamp, right above the exhaust manifold has the pr3-1 and also the date on is 9/5 1/2 the block it says b18c with on the back of it p72 the online thing I'm not too sure is the VTEC pressure sensor that this block has I thought Japanese type r didnt come with unless he changed it... The guys had it hooked up to an EM1 harness

 

Is there anything also I can look at that would help me I.D. The block?

 

 

That's dirt cheap I'm selling mine for 2500. And you are correct about the pressure switch

 

Yeah I know the price is the only thing that's bothering me, other than that everything looks legit and in top shape. Well after giving it a lot of thought to it and said "what the heck" I went with it. The engine is now sitting in my garage and waiting for a tranny to with it. I'm very excited things like this don't happen all the time. I took some more pictures of the engine....
