1990 CRX Speed Speedometer Won't Work
Hello everyone, I just picked up a CRX with a D15 swapped into it. The speedometer doesn't work unfortunately. I was just wondering if there was a how to or if someone could help explain. The RPM works fine. I tried searching, but didn't see anything.
Thanks!
Thanks!
In these cars the speedos came with a cable setup, some people convert to electronic speedos but that depends on which gauge cluster you have. Its possible the previous owner tried to convert but didn't finish.
The cable connects to the tranny where it spins when you move, it's routed through the firewall and plugs into the back of the speedometer. Make sure its connected on both ends. If its connected and still doesnt work it could be either snapped in the middle or the gear end that slides into the tranny could be all chewed up (they're plastic gears)
