Looking for a first. lol
Went by the local dealer today. Need opinions on if I should wait on the CBR500R to come out or go with a 2012 Ninja 650 with 2800 miles I can get a good deal on.
The new hondas are nice but the 650r has been around longer and will be more
powerful so you wont get bored of it to quickly. If it's your first bike you might wanna
get a used bike so when not if, you drop it you wont be to upset.

Ok thanks. Also had an insurance question. When/if they ask how long have I been riding do they check or anything? I'm sure a number of years is cheaper than saying nOOb.
Does anyone know if they actually ask that? I feel like they will just go off how long you've had your license? or in ohio's case, temps. not sure if all states issues temporary permits.
). Not sure about NV or other areas. If the MSF is available in your area, insurance companies give discounts for completing the course. I found the best coverage/cheapest rates from that gecko (again, look at the years I've been licensed). Ride safe

You can ride on a permit, but if you go through state farm they want a MOTORCYCLE licenses. Personally I find state farm to be the cheapest paying only 130 for full coverage with $5000 for medical. The new CBR500R won't be as fast as the 650. Plus if your just starting out get a used bike. I guarantee you will lay it over within a week and many more times to come. Its like learning to ride a bike all over again.
