b18c5 Teg w/ high idle and no vtec
hello i have a 98 gsr integra with a b18c5 swap. Now intermittently after its already been warmed up the rpms will shoot up almost like its warming up again which disables vtec. If i shut my car off and turn her back on the rpms go to normal and vtec will work...
its like the car randomly thinks its not warmed up and will just go back into the mood. which kills my vtec. the only way to stop that is to turn her off and back on. i checked my wires and grounds and everything seems fine. i also took out my IACV and cleaned it spotless. which didnt help. it will go days with the car acting fine then randomly this issue will come back and its quite annoying!
anyone have any ideas for me?? thank you!

Hows your oil level.
When the idol is high like you mentioned. Spray brake clean around the engine bay and listen for the rpms to go up higher. Aka check for vacume leaks.
Do u have a coolant lineb running to your throttle body? ? If so there isba sensor there that controls raising idol in cold temps
