I just got a 2000 cr-v. I need to put a front license plate on it but there are some type of caps covering where the bolts would go and I cant get them off. I need to know how to get the caps removed. Also is there an oem bracket that I would need to mount the plate? I googled a bit but really only see cheap looking universal ones for sale. If any one can help I'd really appreciate it. I don't want to get a ticket for improper front plate.

 

if you dont have an oem bracket, just screw the plate to those caps...

 

F, it you're going to screw through the "plugs" I would make pilot holes with a small diameter drill bit first to avoid buggering-up your bumper cover. There is also a very simple lower bracket available from Honda I would advise you to pick-up, it does a great job of preventing the plate from curling around the bumper. Check the Majestic Honda website for a drawing and part #.
