Default Center Exhaust possible?

Was daydreaming about projects on my 'sol today and was thinking how sweet a centered exhaust tip would look.

Has anyone tried this on a civic?
Would it work or would you have to make too sharp of an angle before the tip that it would just wreck the whole system?

I was thinking that maybe mounting it so that the tip goes at something like a 45 degree angle so the very tip of it is centered on the bumper, then maybe a custom bumper to hide it with a mesh in the middle so it look like a centered exhaust?

Just a thought that would be sweet to do, let me know if anyone has tried it or if you know that it won't work period.

Thanks

it's been done but you have to check with your state laws before trying it.
Most run into issues with the exhaust hitting the ground especially if the car is lowered.

Center exhausts belong on Porsche Boxters and nothing else
Just my 2 cents ^^; (they just look weird on anything else)

State laws because of ground clearance?

I dunno I think it looks pretty cool on the Ford Focus ST.

Other than clearance issues what about bends in the pipe? I know with the gas tank it has to pass just kind of through the suspesnsion so big pipes might get pinched.

I don't plan on lowering this car at all I like it how it is now (might even bring up the back or lower the front for a rake-look)

For emissions and safety purposes.
Just check to be sure so you dont end up changing it if you get pulled over.

There was a turbo del sol build on here not too long ago that used a dual center exit exhaust. It looked like a lambo murcielago. I'll see if I can find it

Edit: found it https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...2846755&page=4

Ah cool that answers what I was concerned about. Have the muffler further up the pipe so you don't have to try to cram it under the bumper like it is stock.
Thanks man this will help the planning.
