I have a cx b18c w/ itr tranny. my computer is a p72. because of my short final drive i do not want to drive in vtec the whole time on the highway. In 5th gear what does vtec kick in at, is it still 4400 or different? I have had a few people tell me different things, someone told me it does not kick in at all? i really do not believe that. it pulls pretty hard.
also is there a rev limiter in 3rd? i would like to push it a little farther at the track.
cxb18,intake,exhuast,itrtranny, 60=2.25, 14.0 @ 99.6

I thought in general, (atleast on the GSR) vtec starts engaging at 4400 and is fully engaged at 6600 or so. It may be different for accords (especially the ones running sohc vtec), but does the gearing change when vtec engages? I thought it had to do with oil pressure and when the rockers moved.
