Default 97 Civic Coupe Door Lock issues

Hello All,

The passenger side of a 97 civic ex coupe auto door actuator had a weak actuator motor, it would auto unlock consistency but was a hit or miss when auto locking the door, so I replaced it with a dorman product 746-364.

Now the interesting part is whenever the door is automatically opened via alarm or the unlock and lock switch on the driver side door, the lock lever on the passenger side door cannot be manually pushed to lock the door(when pushing the lever manually, tere is great resistance to the point where you feel the lever might beak).
This only happens when it is automatically unlocked.

If at any point the passenger door is manually unlocked by hand, or key, it works like normal, you can lock it manually or automatically.

Are there adjustments that needs to be made anywhere on the locking mechanism when you replace the door actuators? Or could the Dorman product just be defective?
