Hi,

I have an accord 1996 EX sedan.
Tonight I just notice a strange behavior of my fuel gauge. the tank is 25% full.
When I am idling at the red light, the gauge lowered a little bit, maybe 2-3 mm.
When I am driving at constant speed, the gauge return to its position.


Is that normal or my fuel gauge need to be changed ?

Mine goes from quarter tank to full while driving it. Your minor movement could be due the fuel position in the tank.

 

Yeah its normal. The fuel in the tank is not sloshing around when sitting at a light.

It's common for almost any car to do that, especially Hondas. Nothing's wrong your gauge so don't worry about it
