Default New to Hondas... Picking up a 91 crx si w/ b16 need some help

So im completely new to honda's or cars in general (4x4 guy lol)....
So heres the deal im picking up a 91 crx si with a b16 5 speed but i dont know what trans it is but it has a few issues anyway soooo... what would be the best mate for the b16? a gsr? i plan to daily this (with a decent amount of hooliganism) and maybe some track days as well! my next question is assuming that this motor is stock with nothing more than an intake and exhaust what are some of the must haves for this motor? I am most defiantly replacing or rebuilding the trans first depending on everyones opinion and what trans is in it... then comes motor parts! would like to slowly build the motor (in order if that makes sense?) turbo and spray come last

thanks in advance!!!!!

looking forward to becoming a productive member of the site and many pictures to come

You thew out alot of questions so it no suprise you didn't get a response, plus things move slow here sometimes despite peoples expectations.

Buying a project car can be a real headache, so just be ready to troubleshoot.

I you want to discuss the motor build/turbo setup try posting in the forced induction or the all motor section or just browse them.

As far as transmissions, what you'll want may depend on if you go turbo, generaly (turbo) people favor the integra LS trannys for their long gears. Some other trannys (YS1) have very short gears which will put you at 3000 to 3500 rpm at highway speed. That can be annoying for some people, I got used to it.

For track days you might appreciate an aftermarket suspension. The Koni / GC combo is a very popular and reliable setup for these cars.

Do all the main't the car needs first then build from there. Replace suspension bushings, tie rods, ball joints etc.
