Default 91 civic si B series Transmission Question

Forgive me as this is my first post. I have looked everywhere. I am so lost.

Ok, I just picked up a 91 civic si for $1300, not a bad deal. It has B18b1 swap on a cable trans that has no ID badge. (90-93 YS1?).. here is the problem. The cable trans in it IS NOT geared like the YS1... It seems to have the gears out of a +94 LS (like the motor), in a cable trans? Is that possible?!? I have to rebuild the trans... Third gear grinds like a ****... the car has a PR4-A01 Ecu (90-93 B18A if Im not mistaken) close enough to work I guess... runs slightly rich... I don't know what rebuild kit to order!!!
Below I will list the gears at different speeds/ RPMs

I got the car cheep from one of my dads friends who owns a title loan Place.... lol

1st @ 4k ~19mph
2nd @4k ~32mph
3rd @ any rpm 0mph (grinding sounds)
4th @ 4k ~65mph
5th @ ~3000-3100 is 70mph

This doesn't match up with any cable trans I have found...

Here are some pics of the car If you wanted to see them!

Are those stock si seats? They look super clean.

They are Honda seats I'm not sure if they are the original, but I am assuming they are. The interior is very clean... There is a small worn spot on the driver's side, but the car has 201,000 miles on it. that's over 320k for anyone outside the states.

Also the gear teeth on the window crank are gone, not the plastic handle, the metal gear cog.. that's why there are Vice-grips on there.

Looks like a good find especially with a swap. So the YS1 cable had two versions in the USA. The standatd LS, GS, RS which are much like the 94+ and then you have the YS1 from the gs-r B17A1 which has a much better gear ratio just like the Integra XSi B16A.
To my knowlegde the YS1 92-93 cable has the same internals as the 94+ hydrualic trannies. You could either swap out the guts from a gsr or b16 tranny or try changing the final drive.

HAHA they are in awesome shape considering they are almost TWENTY THREE YEARS OLD.

Will a rebuild kit for my trans be the same as a 1994+ LS? I want the higher Gears for gas mileage.

Did you look at this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_B..._Transmissions

"YS1 casing can take S80 Internals"

You don't have a J1/S1 transmission, that's for sure.

i have a b16 trans in my car and it does about 4000 rpm in 5th at 70mph. sounds to me like you have an LS. or a b16 with LS 5th.

The wheels are coated in some plastic spraypaint..... I pealed it off the front wheel, and the black and white powdercoat underneath looks like that.

SO are the trans rebuild kits the same? I would rather have the high gears for milage.

Thanks for the help guys.
