Default Rear hatch lifter help!

So I was replacing my rear hatch lifters and got the right side done without hassle.. Then when I went to take the top left side off the nut on the inside of the hatch came broke lose and fell off... So I got the lifter off and everything but now I am unable to put a new one on due to nothing being there to screw into.. Anyone have any suggestions? There is no way to get nut on the backside..

The same thing happened to me, but on the right side.

I jb-welded the nut and let it sit for a day, then I screwed the lift support in, and it's been holding up a year later.

I recommend grabbing some pliers and opening the hole so you can get the nut behind it.
