innovative mounts hydro to cable conversion kit wright up
hey thought i will do a quick review and wright up on the innovative hydro to cable conversion kit to install a cable trans in a hydro civic. Reason why i did this was i had a ys1 cable trans case with type r gears with 4.4 fd, carbon syncros, and mfactory lsd built from syncrotech for my crx before i sold it so i didnt want to sell a good working trans with the exact gears i wanted, so i looked in to a conversion kit. Couldnt find good pictures or much info on this kit, if i missed anything let me know so i can edit. Here we go.
First off this is the kit it self i already mounted one of the brackets you can see its the nice black bracket bolted to the trans. What it comes with is motor mount bracket, the bracket for the clutch slave and the rod end for the slave.

Second you will drill a 5/16" hole on the clutch arm, the position of the hole is 2.5" from the center of the shaft that is welded to the arm. note its easiest to drill with the trans out of the car.

Third you can bolt the rod end to the arm

Fourth now you can install the trans with the new motor mount bracket in car. Now bolt the slave to the bracket bolted below the clutch arm. note the kit dose not come with bolts to bolt the slave to the bracket, well mine did not.

and thats about it. The kit worked very well pleased with results how the car drives and shifts, cant even tell its a cable trans in a 97 civic. So any other questions on the install i can help out the best i can just pm me. Thanks.
