91 civic 1.5 wont crank/but does push start
my honda 91 honda civic will not start from the key but it will push start.
STEPS TAKEN:
1. tried to jump start with cables will not start.
2. replaced the starter with new starter still wont crank.
3. car will push start and stay running.
any ideas?

I can touch the jumper cables from the starter to the battery and it will start. What the hell is wrong with this piece of ****????
If it's not the stopper, turn the key and check for power on the black/white wire that goes to this location on the under-dash fuse box

There are 2 fuses to look at for this circuit if you can't get the starter to spin.
Fuse 32 under the hood and Fuse 2 under the dash.

also the contacts may be bad in ur ignition switch wiring check that as well its the piece that bolts to the back of the key cylinder housing
