Default Question about battery relocation

Alright everyone, I got my battery and all the wires and whatnot ran to the back of the hatch in my 91 CRX. Everything is working perfectly. Looking online though, one thing has crossed my mind. Do I need a special type of battery other than the regular lead acid battery that i used before? The only reason im concerned is that when the lead acid batteries are charged, they vent out gases. Could there be enough gas for a toxic level? Has anyone else used one of these batteries in a in-cab relocation? Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Yes for sure you want a sealed battery like Optima makes.

Its definately unsafe if you use a normal lead acid battery.

Or get a sealed battery box designed for relocation, it should allow you to vent it outside of the car.

I used an Odyssey PC680 and it worked out really good. Min is in my personal compartment though. It's pretty small. Bought it new from an ebay dealer for around $130.
