Default F20b Intermediate shaft issues

I have a 98 Torneo Sir-t with a F20b motor. The cup that fits in the intermediate shaft on the left side has a play in it. It makes an annoying sound especially when i ease off the accelerator. I can feel that the spline area is somewhat worn but the problem is that i cannot get an intermediate shaft for the manual transmission.
Can the H22 intermediate shaft work on the f20 engine?

Yes!

Get an H22 intermediate shaft and make sure to get the H22 driveside axle to go with it as well. Maybe, they share the same intermediate shaft, who knows.
