Ok, so I have a 1997 Honda Accord LX, stock F22B2 (I think it's B2 as far as I remember)...the clutch in the car is almost ready for a change.

My grandfather has a 1995 Honda Civic DX hatchback (year is questionable, but the 95's on google images look the same). He just bought a truck & the car's body is in pretty rough shape, but everything on it runs good & there's a newer clutch in it.

I'm wondering if there's any chance that the clutch or tranny could be swapped out & used in my accord? Would save me a bit of money & would put the car to some use rather than just getting rid of it.

This may be a stupid question, but not really sure on the compatibility of transmissions & all that between civics & accords.

No the motors are completely different. You can do a tranny swap, but with an entire adapter kit that would be more expensive than a brand new F22 Tranny and clutch. The Accords and Civics are almost completely on different ends of the spectrum when it comes to parts.

Figured that much, the 1.5 compared to the 2.2 is quite a difference, didn't expect it'd work, but was worth asking anyways.

Transmission is still fine, just need a new clutch soon.
