Potential Newbie here
I'm looking at picking up a very original 1980 Accord. The car is near mint with a few minor issues that I can sort easily.
First off it has been in a small fender bender of which I'd remove the passenger door and deliver to the body shop for repair as well the passenger fender is dented but I'd just replace that unit as long as that is the most cost effective way to go about it.
The engine looks fantastic with only 120k on the odometer but is in need of a head gasket.
There is zero rust on this car as it was garaged by its elderly owner and hasn't been driven in the last 8 years or so.
So what advice does anyone have about this model? Are body parts/engine components easy to come by?
What should I watch out for? My expectation is to refurbish this car but keeping it OEM.
I look forward to your advice.
