Default cheap, easy, quick, external camera mount for gopro setup. integra only

this probably only applies to DC2 USDM front ends.

home depot metal plate for under $2

screws, and nuts, caulking.

i chose to bend it downward but it's up to you. the screws on the bottom are caulked for cushioning and even so, i made sure that they don't touch the bumper

in the case that the quick release decides to fail, the leash is there as a back up long enough for you to pull over ro head back to the pits.

used the bumper support rail screw to keep it in place. there is about a 2-3 degree of left and right rotation if you need to adjust the angle of the camera. with the hood closed, the bolt even if it does come loose, shouldn't wiggle completely out of it's socket bc the hood will keep it down, so your camera is quite secure with this setup.

Only thing I can say that could cause you some issues would be. The sheet metal is pretty thin so it might give you some unwanted bouncing when driving. Even though you used silicone on the bolt heads you might still get some wear on the paint. If you coul figure out a way to mount it to 2 screws so wind force isnt going to move the camera left or right while driving.

Other then that, its a pretty good Idea... Granted the suction cup works pretty awsome, we havent had a camera come flying off yet.

some tracks do not allow the use of anything suction cupped in or out of the car. i did thought of another mount method. involves a 2" wide aluminum bar that extends out from either the right or left of the front license plate. uses the license plate holes to fasten. requires the use of a J buckle quick release and/or 2-axis pivot jt if you use the flat mount quick release.
