Default charcoal canister

Ive been wrenching on HONDAS for years and messed with damn near everything except the charcoal canister on passenger side firewall. Im slowly wire tucking the engine bay on my SI Rex FINALLY and getting as much clutter OUT as possible. Does anyone know if I can bypass this canister and plug off the lines or do I have to still run the canister?????????? Running B16A1 swap

you can remove it, but if you are in a state that does smog inspection, you will not pass.

This. Just plug up the port on the top of the TB where the hose+solenoid+hose used to be, DO NOT plug the hose opposite of that, its the tank breather. Just route a piece of vacuum tube under the car so you won't smell gas fumes. Worked perfectly fine for me, then I completely used up all that space again with a catch can.. lol

Thanks, I live in REDNECK Wild and Crazy WEST VIRGINIA and we don't even have smog inspections. SO off it goes.

the charcoal canister is part of your evap system lets the tanks hc breath and some of those hc's will be sent to your intake manifold, it helps with gas millage and emissions

Overall the consensus is that i'm gonna have to keep it and hide it under my intake plenum so it doesn't get in the wire tuck cleanliness effort I have been doing. HATE THAT THING!!!!
