98 civic - speedometer stopped working

My speedometer stoped working and i dont know why does anyone have an idea y?

You mean absolutely stopped working? Check the VSS (vehicle speed sensor).

are you throwing any cels? typically, a bad vss will cause a code. that generation civic has plenty of problems with defective speedos.
