Default bad side marker install

hey guys i just had my side markers installed at a shop but one of the holes on the driver side was made a little too large so the side marker is a little bit loose so my question is where can i find a jdm sir fender with the hole pre-cut or is there anything else i can do to get it fixed?

If it is just loose, [hole is compleatly covered] a little Strip Calk , [calking that never gets real hard].

Wrap a little Strip Calk around the back of the marker before you mount the marker in the hole. 94

You presumably paid this shop to make holes for your signal-repeaters (that's what they're actually supposed to be), they botched the job, and you're just going to walk away from the money? Something smells fishy here...

So a shop fucked up the install and you aren't even going to try to get a refund from them? C'mon dude, you must not work very hard for your money if you just let something like that slide.

Ok first off if your looking for fenders so the SHOP can get you a REPLACMENT for free.

Here they are
http://passwordjdm.com/DA-90-93-Inte...1961C2419.aspx
http://passwordjdm.com/DC-94-01-Inte...1962C2419.aspx

But if your some spoiled Brat that doesn't have to work for your money and are just going to walk away from some shop that did a shitty job and NOT make them Fix it.
Then i will not care Nor shed a tear if and/or when your car goes missing in the night.

Got to agree with all the above, if the shop messed up, the shop should fix it, get them to replace the fender. 94

I went back a few minutes ago and he put some rubber around the light to make it a tight fit and also gave me a partial refund. Here are pics of that bad install side marker with the hole that was cut wrong and the "fixed" side marker

I asked linh the owner if he used a template he said no which is very strange for a shop not to use the template easily available online, he just eyeballed it I guess but at least one side was done right

That is the sloppiest, most inept, amateurish job I have ever seen. That's a 16-year-old-in-his-dad's-driveway type of job.

If a "professional" tech did this, he needs to have his tools taken away. And maybe also be pounded to a pulp (him, I mean, not the tools).

X2^^^

What the hell was used to cut that hole, that is terrible, I could have done better with a 1/8" drill bit and a file, with or without a template. 94

X2^^^ both sides if the other side is anywhere near as bad, that should be a rectangular hole, [or oval depending on housing] without "jagged" edges, the light housing should fit "exactly", [or very close to it] into the hole. 94

So did you pay them before the job or what? They need to give you a refund and fresh fenders so you can take it to a reputable shop that doesn't use blind people to do their work.

That means they did the drivers side first. They should be embarrassed to let something leave their shop (mothers garage) like that.

I have to agree with everyone else, that is the worst job I've ever seen. I see that as being cruel to an animal almost... A partial refund deals no justice to the crime committed of ruining a perfectly fine fender.

So my question is can the fender be saved and repaired at a body shop or do i need to replace it like with a jdm sir fender with the side marker hole precut?

Yes you can fix it BUT it will cost alot more then getting the JDM style pre-cut fenders

That assumes that the hole for side marker in the new "JDM" fender is in the same place the shop cut the "perfect" hole in the OPs other fender, I'm thinking the chances of that are slim.

I would look for the same fender and cut the hole to match the one on the other side. 94

Like others said, you can fix it, I wouldn't know the cost or method at a shop you plan on going to tho. I can imagine it need to be painted no matter what route they decide to go with. You can go with a new fender but not sure whether the precut hole would match up with your driver side. If I were you, I would try to get the original shop to fix it and try to get as big of a discount as you can (for free is preferred since they messed up, but chances are slim)
