Default Anyone have fitment problems with the Apexi N1 on their civic?

My friend has a 2000 civic ex and he recently installed it. He said it was making some loud rattling noise when the car was at idle, so I told him to bring it over and I would check it out. We jacked up the car and after looking underneath I noticed that the pipe that goes over the rear control arm was resting against the gas tank. I was like wtf!!! Maybe he put the pipes together wrong. I took it all apart, reassembled everything and still the pipe rested against the gas tank. I also noticed that if you stand behind the car and look at the exhaust you can see that the exhaust tip is in about an inch... it isn't flush with the rear bumper....it is also off center(pointed to the right). I have the apexi n1 on my type r and it fits perfectly with no problems. I don't know why but his doesn't fit right. Do you guys have any problems like this?

My friend had the same problem on his 00 Si. The problem was fixed in a very disappointing way....the car was stolen.

Is this problem common for all civics? My gf was thinking about getting the apexi n1 for her 96 ex but I don't know if that would be a good idea now.

Any more info. on the Apexi N1? I don't want my gf to buy it and run into the same problem that my friend did. Did anybody have the same problem my friend did? or did he just get one that has a defect?

i have a similar problem with the ES Oval on my 98 ex. It has to be rotated and a tip had to be added to line it up rite because the spare tire well gets in the way.

i never had a problem with my Apexi N1 on my 88' RX7 TurboII...............it fit perfectly and sounded wonderful................I am going to run a N1 on my hatch but am going to get it custom done so I can't really help with fitment other than tell you that they sent the wrong pipe, and that is rather Uncommon for Apexi to do, they are a high quality company, call up your supplier, they will make it right.
