well it depends cause b series is very reliable swap to and the variety is vast but with h2b your going to have tons of power and torque but the only down side is the cost of buying the kit and the chances that the kit might fail you

B20 Vtec and fairly stock h2b will almost be the same cost if you're starting from scratch. They will run almost identical times with a slight advantage going to the h2b.

OP if you're looking for a fun street car I would highly suggest you look into building a relatively stock turbo'd B series. Way more power for your money and lots of fun to drive.

welcome to the all motor forum lol if he posted here then we clearly in interested in going all motor.

OP, it is going to depend on what kinda power and tq u want and how much work / money you wanna put into it.

H2B has been known to be a very good bang for buck swap if you do not want to build a motor like a b20Vtec. B series are the most popular of swaps. they rev higher, its an easy swap to do in a garage with your buddies and hand tools.

for 2-3k you could get yourself an ITR swap (which is prolly what i would do) if i didnt wanna build an LSV or B20V

Freaking idiot I know this is the ALL MOTOR forum. He asked for a fun street car. I just suggested an alternative. I swear no wonder honda-tech sucks now days. All these know it all newbs. As you can see, you're so hard headed that you failed to see my post about his engine choice between the H2b and B series. Who's going to have fun on the streets with an NA motor pushing 220+ WHP?

2-3K for an ITR swap? Sign me up! Ain't no one ever going to readily sell ITR swaps for that price.

lol, dont be so offended. your the one that suggested a boost setup in the all motor forum...
and 220whp in an EF is plenty to have fun. sounds like a 12 second car to me. if your interested in drag times that is.
and 3 grand for an itr swap is common as hell, lol learn the market.
stop arguing in this guys thread, and grow up.

vie done all motor b series, itrs, b20 vtec, ls vtec, etc etc etc. I rana built h2b for a while and it had tons of power. I also built a f20b to b, with cams and tuning and header, was very disappointed with it. the f20 feels like a gsr at best.
Do a h22 with cams, type s pistons and port the head you will be very happy if you ver get traction!

well i m finishing my ek h2b, is a very strong motor and with a ctr tranny, 70 mm tb, header with a 2.5 colector and a fine tune p28 you can reach 205 whp, stock internal, thats a lot of power without open your motor. H2B is the way to go. And you dont need the kit for the install, i ll direct put the tranny, drill some holes to the block and put a extra screw, 7 in total. Ill take some pictures later.
And if you want more power you can put the f22 crank and rob, type s pistons and cams and wala a monster. excuse my english i only speak spanish.

Can a 220 WHP EF run 12's on street tires? Please enlighten me. Please I'm not a newb. I said find me readily available full ITR swaps for 2-3K (meaning from full time motor distributors). I'm not talking some average joe selling his setup he had in his car. Let's give a few checks.

Hmotorsonline: JDM ITR $3,699/$4,499
How about Ebay: $3,500 the lowest you can find shipped

Now you go do your market search and see what you come up with.
