ek with b series starter question
this is really bugging me, i dont remember ever having to do this before. just put my built boosted lsvtec in my car to get it ready to tune, wanted to have the starter tested because its pulling the battery down to 6 volts when i crank it and the battery tested good. well, the starter is right up against the trans mount bracket. i dont remember it ever being that tight before. i had to pull that bracket off to remove the starter. anyone else ever have this issue? its a gsr hydro trans if that is how it is then no biggie, i just never remember having to pull the bracket to change a starter on an ek before.
i didnt think so, which is why i cant figure out why this one is so tight. ive been looking at engine bay shots from b swapped ek's and em1's and i cant find any that have the starter that tight. the part number for a starter for a 99-00 si is different than for an integra but ive always thought all b series manula trans starters were the same. hmm
Will an auto b series starter bolt up? I wonder if that's what's wrong I forgot my buddy gave me his old auto one
edit
nvm, auto starter wont bolt up. wonder what starter i have then. got to looking at the starter in my brothers eg hatch with a gsr swap, his appears to be quite a bit shorter than the one i have.
