I bought a 95 accord and found out it was a non vtec prior to the swap but it has a f22b1 out of 96-97 0bd2 in it and they have it wired up using the obd2 harness on the motor but where the harness plugs into the other harness that goes to the ecu is the non vtec harness. I did have to get a poa ecu they had the non vtec one in it still. But i got the vtec wired up i had to add a vtec pressure switch and wire that in cuz the obd2 didnt have the switch. But i think the problem is because it has obd2 motor harness going into a obd1 ecu harness im stumped ive searched and searched the person b4 me screwed this car up. Im tired of driving in grandma mode after 4000 rpm thanks in advance. Oh yea forgot to mention thats my prob. My car has poor acceleration after 4000 rpm and it wont rev past 5500 rpm it just winds out and makes a popping/knocking noise while at the rev limiter until i let off the gas then it shifts and again it hit rev limiter at like 5400-5600 rpm and i know it supposed to atleast rev to like 6200 easy. I found out what was wrong. Who ever i bought the car from must have took the vtec solenoid off and lost a piece of it. Like i said they screwed this car up ,the piece under the vtec solenoid the little round piece with the hole through it that sits on top of the spring loaded rod was missing.
