Default Humphrizzle "EG" hatch build

Starting off the year right and back into a honda... well, it's a project for now, but should be running in about 2 months by ImportAlliance Atlanta.

Purchased this car from one of my best friends who bought a vr6 jetta, with hopes to make this his project. He (I) removed the engine and transmission (b16a2) and he tore it apart to rebuild for turbo.

It sat for 4 months until he just wanted to part it out and sell the shell to buy wheels and suspension for his jetta.

He gave me an awesome deal on the shell (full interior, rolling chassis, megan coilovers) and i couldnt pass it up.

I will be over his house working on it this weekend since my driveway is blocked by a giant storage unit due to renovating and will update with pics when something's worth showing.

edit: rebuilding b16a2, gsr transmission, rywire harness, new brakes, bearings, and more ... the z6 idea was stupid

So I found a b16a Gen2 longblock for 550. needs valve cover gasket.

I like b16s. had a 2000 civic si for 7 years. very familiar with it.

I may sell the bras. I just bought a b16a2 for 350, hasport mounts for 150. Function&form rear LCAs for 100, rear disc swap for 50, and a hell of a lot more.

Pics when I get everything organized

Every other forum this kid has been on has been a joke. He trolls, talks smack, is dellusional, and I guess gets tired of everyone thinking he's a complete douche and moves on to the next forum.

x2 pay no mind to him...completey ignore him. Wish he was banned already.

Will for sure be following this build. I have a b16b cx and like to see what people end up doing with em. Good luck!

Thanks for the support. I'm in school and working part time so it's not going to be an outrageous build but I am OCD and like things to be in their place. I'm ordering bearings, rings, head gasket kit along with new valves this week and hope to have the engine together before the end of the month.

I did some calculations and decided not to go all out and buy an expensive valvetrain yet.

Going to replace what's bad an reloom the harness while my parts come in. (I have 3 harnesses)

i think plans like that make for better builds anyway.. doesn't matter if you have a $3k valvetrain if something routine is always broken!

cant sleep so i decided to rip apart and mock up the harness. there's so much **** going on with this harness i dont think i want to use it. some shitty mechanics did the swap originally and there's so many things wrong with all of it. I have an extra OBD1 z6 automatic wiring harness i think im going to use instead. it's fresh and hasnt been messed with at all.. the car had a mess of problems which is why my buddy decided to tear it apart in the first place.

incorrect wiring on the wiring from the car:

coolant temp sensor not wired at all just butt spliced and covered with tape
blue wire from distributor connector plug (male) was cut and unused
it looks like **** and i dont know if i want to deal with it.

i'll just wire a reverse switch and use the other harness

i'm not tucking the harness or anything, just looming with new loom because i hate that plastic **** on honda harnesses.

well, since I got a good tax return, i'm buying a new header, rywire budget harness, and arp head studs and a cool new snap on valve removal/install tool.
