I just picked up a 98 dx hatchback, and I am close to starting my "top end VTEC conversion! I have just recently become a Honda guy and I am building on a budget. I have the stock D16Y7 automatic transmission (which sucks), and have purchased a D16Z6 head with valve cover and VTEC solenoid, a complete D16A6 intake manifold. I've only spent 90 bucks so far, I know I need a few more parts before I can start the build (keep in mind this is my daily driver as well) so I have to have everything before starting. I need D16Z6 distributor, ECU, and engine harness from an automatic. Is there anything else I need immediately to have an operating VTEC?
