Default My $550 EG Coupe

Ok, so here is my my $550 EG coupe. Already had the wheels and got the car for $300 with a clean title and 116,XXX miles on her. Added the lip and some coilovers and HIDs I had lying around. It is a slushbox, but I have most of the parts for a 5 speed swap. Other than that its all BONE STOCK and unmolested, lol.

More pics as things get done...

Edit: I'm thinking after I swap it to 5 speed possibly boosting the Z6. Was wondering if anyone had any input of the EMUSA kit that comes with a Precision turbo and FMIC kit. I have a Turbonetics T3/T04E but it needs rebuilt. I'm not looking to run anymore than around 8 psi.

Don't run HIDs in standard halogen housing. All it does is cause problems for oncoming traffic. I'd personally invest in getting the paint touched up before turbo. But that's just me.

As far as turbo. I wouldn't just throw a turbo on a d series. I'd want to at the very least get some arp rod bolts, new crank and rod bearings, arp head studs and new head gasket. But I'd also look into new rods and pistons if you want it to be a build you can be absolutely confident in making it last and being happy with it for a while.

Nice. Just turbocharge it before you swap the transmission and engine. Also wire-tuck or spray the engine-bay once it's cleared.
If I were you, i'd honestly.... Start rebuilding the Z6 (or purchase another) for low compression, upgrade fuel injectors +fuel pump, maybe install or invest in an LSD D-series tranny, get a chipped ECU and find somebody who can tune it.
Where I live, that vehicle you have there (assuming it's fair) will easily be posted for an asking price of $3,500. Good job.

Yeah I'm not wanting to tuck it or paint the bay pink or anything. It's really clean and The bumper chips are the only spots wrong with the paint. I just wanna 5 speed awap it and maybe out a little boost to it eventually. If it makes it gawty or does away with cruise or ac then its a no go...

I think most turbo setups are not very a/c friendly. There are a few manifolds that allow for it. Don't know about cruise since I've never had it.

I know they make A/C friendly turbo manifolds. They're a bit more expensive but if your A/C works i don't blame you. My D15 turbo still has the cruise control so you're good there. Clean *** car for $550

I run hids on my eg and it looks fine. Just aim it properly.

It doesn't really matter how "properly" you aim it. When you put HIDs in standard housings designed for halogen bulbs, you're going to get excessive glare. The main beam of the light might be aimed where it's suppose to be, but they reflect light in pretty much every direction because they don't have the same focal point or focal length as halogen bulbs.

You could point your HID's at the ground 10 ft in front of you, but if they're in a halogen housing, they're still going to glare in oncoming traffic's eyes.
