Default Should I use a P28 or P72 ecu

Hers the set up. I have a OBDII B18c motor in a 1996 civic with a OBDII wireing harness adapter. Motor is all stock. I need advise as to what ecu to use. My friend says a chipped P28, I read on alll the forums a P72. Whats your opinon?

What's the intake manifold. stock GSR?
Assuming the motor is completely stock, i'd just stick with the stock P72 ECU
A chipped P28 wouldn't be too much different from a stock P72 unless you upgrade some parts here and there.

everything is stock, I shouldnt chip a p72?

Also if you have emissions testing in your area which use an OBD2 port connection you'll fail with an OBD1 ECU.
