Quick read for DIY engine modding 90-02 Accord
There are so many posts recently asking "How can I make my car faster" or "How can I get the most performance out of my engine" and "I want to upgrade my car". If you go and ask simple questions like this and publish your new thread there is almost nobody who will give you a clear answer, let alone reply what so ever. Here are some tips to what should be asked when starting these "upgrade" threads. Here are some basic facts that will help new members along, specifically in the 90-02 Accord/CL section.
What vehicle do you have?
Nobody can help you if you aren't specific on the make, model, year, engine type/size of your Accord. This will allow all of us to search in our brains and jot down what we think is a good idea for your car. Besides, if you're not able to answer these simple questions yourself; should you even be working on your car? Knowledge is your friend, that's why you're here in the first place, but we need some input on your end.
What area of performance are you looking for?
Drag car? Street car? Giant spoilers and chrome tail lights? If you post "How should I go about upgrading my Accord" we need an idea of what you're trying to achieve by changing/upgrading anything. Some of us have a better skill set than others, if you point the people you are asking in a general direction we can be much more helpful.
Lastly, if someone shares their opinion don't get upset if you don't agree with it. You came here for our suggestions, don't leave because you didn't like them. Most of our information comes from research and physically working on our cars. The ones who actually reply to posts have a somewhat grasp on the concept that is the Honda Accord/Acura CL that will aid you in whatever endeavors you are trying to reach here.
So don't be a ****, read this, and THEN post.
Here are some resources that may be able to help you out.

While it's an 'A' for effort, all the sites you've linked to are in the Accord FAQ currently and all that information should be considered 'basic' enough to not warrant an additional stickied thread that won't be read.

You Made a VERY good point. When people ask that extremely openly broad question, "how do i upgrade my car?", it doesn't specify what they want like you said. Some want to keep it stock engine and trans wise, and just want body mods. Others want to keep a stock body and mod the engine and or trans. the possibilities as to what they are asking are nearly endless.

Likewise, I'd give you an A for effort, but even if this was stickied, noobs wouldn't read it. If people looked at the FAQ's threads first, we could eliminate half the threads seen on a daily basis. If people could grasp the concept of what google is and how to use it, we could eliminate another 40%.

... AND this website WOULD BE pointless.
Sure, there's TONS of great info, but sometimes people need DIRECTION!
I've never understood this... Don't start a forum if you dont want people talking and asking questions all the TIME!

I hate those winy little brats who say "Well you had to start somewhere to". Yes I did, I went to the local automotive store and bought a ratchet set and a Helms manual for my particular vehicle and I started reading. Once I was confident that I had everything I needed and I was confident in the execution. That's when I would start wrenching. If I came across a specific issue, I would go to my trusty computer and do a search for that issue in particular. 9 times out of 10 the answer would pop up in the first 3 lines of returned information. How hard is that? I very rarely ever had to start a forum thread to ask a question. 90% of the basics of automotive can be found without having to start a noob thread asking to be spoon fed!
