Default Question about cv axles

Back in the spring I installed GC/ koni's on my teg, lowering it almost 2". Recently both left and right boots on the cv axles have seperated. Does lowering a teg make the boots stretch more causing seperation? I bought my teg used and it now has over 150k. If these are original cv axles then I guess this is normal.

Wouldnt they be pushed together more? If you make your car a 4x4...then i would say ya, you are stretching them, but lowering them, you are jsut pushings them together.
