I own a 90 Accord LX, auto, 125000 mi...reciently the thing has been goin wacky...the "sports" mode light for the tranny begins to blink, and the speedometer keeps dyeing and going down to zero for long ammounts of time...the cruise control does not opperate when the speedodometer is not working, and reciently the "check" lite has been coming on...is this a purly an electrical issue? any help would be much appreaciated

 

First off, pull the CEL code. For all the other stuff, run a search, it has been covered. I would tell you but I didnt pay attention, so you gotta search for it.

 

Speed Sensor has died. Get a new one... problem fixed. Same thing happened to me... funny thing was it was December 31, 1999! lol
