Default Need to move the steering wheel towards me. Options?

Hi All

I'm 6'4" so have the seat all the way back to get my legs in. This means that the steering wheel is a bit too far away even at maximum adjustment. I need to move it about a couple of inches towards me

Has anybody else had this issue and how did you resolve it?

I was thinking of using a steering wheel boss with a dished wheel. I would like to use one the same diameter as the standard UKDM wheel

What would be my options and has anyone got a pic of a dished wheel fitted?

Cheers for any assistance

Ken

Best way to resolve the issue would be to buy a bigger car.

JK.

As far as I know you can only adjust the wheel up and down, not in and out. These cars are small I'm 6'1 and it feels like a go kart. You're probably going to have to move the seat up as far as you can while still reaching the pedals, or try a different seat perhaps?

6"2 here and I have the same problem. I thought about modifing the momo hub I have by cutting it and tigging an apropriate sized piece of pipe as an extension piece, but I never got around to it. I have the factory seat all the way back and reclined very little so I don't have to stretch my arms out to reach. Not very comfortable, but it works. I have a cobra evolution pro gt seat in the works and I'm not sure if it will make things better or worse.

This is unlrelated, but I wanted to share anyway. I always felt like I had to reach for the shifter too. I decided to give one of the fastline units a shot and I love it. If you are tall and you feel like you are reaching for the shifter give it a shot. Looks kind of derpy but I can get past that.

Tilt the sterring wheel downward and tilt the back support forward. That should help. Otherwise, after market steering wheel and hub is the only way. GL

I am 6'4'' as well and I guess I have never had this problem in my Integra. However I do plan on getting a new steering wheel and hub to bring the wheel a little closer and to give me more leg room. Also going to get the buddyclub racing seat and low seat rails they have. Alltogether should create a lot more space.

Well I've decided I'm going to take a crack at making a spacer that will move the steering wheel forward towards the driver an inch or two inches. I guess I could make it as long as I want, but one to two inches seems like it will work the best. Plan is to get a piece of 3.25" solid aluminum round bar about a foot long and make a couple different lengths of spacers. Then drill the momo hub pattern in and us extended bolts. I'm going to order a few things tomorrow. If it works out well then I'll post up a picture or two.

Any one know off hand if the threads on the momo hubs are m5 or m6? I've found conflicting answers.

Edit: Or I could just by this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/WORKS-BELL-2...639be0&vxp=mtr Lol

Techno tuning makes a pretty sweet spacer. 75mm

use that with a dished steering wheel you should be fine.

Keep in mind with a longer hub/dished wheel the blinkers will be hard to reach unless you have some long fingers!

People around here never use them anyway so that wouldn't be a big concern for me. Lol. Driving around here is like driving in grand theft auto.
