Ill be cruising down the highway, and my car will literally decide whether it wants to go into cruise control or not, sometimes it engages first try, sometimes I hit the button 6 times and it goes, other times I try so many times I give up

 

The set button must be held down for 2-3 seconds. Otherwise, cc will not engage.

 

Yeah hold it down. Should kick in. And if you so much as lightly tap the brake it disengages the control. And then to resume your past speed hold down the resume Exl button.
