Best Spring Setup for Del Sol with KONI STR.T
First off, I know there has posts discussing springs for the KONI STR.T, but none I have read really fit me so I was hoping you guys could help. Usually, I find my answers just searching here and this is actually the first time I've had to create a thread for anything and so I hope I put it in the right spot.
I recently acquired a 94 Del Sol VTEC. I got it for a good deal, but there was some things improperly done that I am having to go back and fix and in this case the suspension junk. The guy put ebay coilovers on it and slammed it so needless to say the stock struts on it are blown.
I ordered some Koni STR.T's to replace the struts, but cannot decide what to do for springs. I want it to be lower than stock to avoid a large gap between wheel and fender, but not slammed. It is sitting on 15 inch integra rims. Also, stiffness doesn't bother me, but there are some rough roads around where I live so I probably wouldn't like the stiffest out there.
I have looked at several different ones and had been leaning towards the Tein S Techs or H Techs, but I have read some bad things about them such as they soften pretty quick making the car lower than it is initially.
I am Also considering Eibach Sportlines, but some people say they are too low for the street even though the description I am looking at for them says a 1.8" drop.
Please share your opinions on these three springs and any others you have mentioned. I am trying to keep it under $200 and can get the S techs for about 145, the H tech for about 170, and the Sportlines for 178.
Thanks for any help!
