B20EK, Code 6. ECT Sensor

Default B20EK, Code 6. ECT Sensor

have a 2000 ek hatch with a jdm b20b that has be converted to OBD1. in the summer i got a CEL which was #6 (engine coolant temp sensor) so i replaced the sensor. but it has now come back and its very annoy but i cant see how the sensor can be shot that fast? or am i missing something?

test the sensor.
check the wiring especially if youre using a cheap jumper harness

Code 6 indicates a problem in the ECT sensor circuit, so a bad ECT sensor is only one way to throw this code. Check the two ECT sensor wires for a short or open using a multimeter.

okay so so was tired of working on this problem so took the car into a shop. they spent 2hrs working on it to find nothing wrong with it they say... they said they checked the wiring to the sensor, pin tested everything and said the car runs great. they said the issue was that im running a hondata ecu.. so i bought an obd1 pr4 today and turns out its the same issue as before

help!!!!
