Black AEM CAI.
I painted my CAI flat black, just becuase I want to get away from anything that has any associations with RICE what so ever. I used Dupli Color high heat Flat Black. I used steal wool to lightly scratch the original paint then sprayed away.
why would it look "rice"?!?!?!

Was it hard to paint the intake. Did it drip a little. I want to paint my intake red to match the rest of the car but i am afraid the paint will drip and look bad.
Can anyone tell me their experiences with painting there intakes.

1.) Go to Autozone or Pep Boys and get some Dupli Color High Temp paint.
2.) Go to Safeway, Krogers, Kingsooper, Randells, or any grocery store and get some steel wool
3.) Take off intake.
4.) Clean the intake with water, the rub the intake with the steel wool, don't rub all the paint off just enough to so the new paint will have something to stick to.
5.) Clean after rubbing with steel wool, I'd clean the intake with rubbing alcohol get it really clean.
6.) Put your intake on the end of a stick and paint away, 8-12" away form the object.
7.) put two coats on and allow to dry over night. Drying is actually really fast 20-30 minutes for each coat but still allow to dry over night.
Ohhh boy did I get myself in trouble with the RICE comment.
