Hey I was wondering what kind of engine I have in my ef9 hatch. Its a stocked ef hatch with an si transmission and a 1.6 engine I was wondering what engine would that be again and and what vtec head could I swap with it, I bought it cheap and someone was selling it cheap but never bothered to clean the oil and grind so I can't read the vin number off of it but if anyone and everyone can and/or could help it would be deeply appreciated

 

a hatch si has a d16a6.

you can use any vtec d series head on a SOHC d series block. most common is the d16z6 then the d16 y8 heads. look in the sticky at the top for how to do the mini-me
