Come and watch my DC4-1 header own me
I have a major problem, it all started with buying a DC4-1 header, great header in my opinon. Luckily I was doing a swap at the time so installation was a breeze. At the time I would have never thought that I want something faster, well I do. No I have this huge one pipe in probably stuck in my car. How am I going to get the header out, it currently is resting ON the crossmember. Is there an easier way to get this header off than removing the engine? If you haven't guessed, I'm going turbo and will be switching from a DC 4-1 $300 header to a 1989 CRX HF $30 header, seems logical right?

Its really not that bad man. I actually had to put my 4-1 on my B16 after it was in the car. Just take of the dust shields that cover the front crossmember. Take the front wheels off so you can reach and undo the two bolts that attach each radius rod to the lower control arm. After that it's only 4 more bolts (2 at each end of the crossmember) and the whole crossmember with radius rods attached will drop off the car. Should give you plenty of space to drop the header out from the bottom.
