Default too good to be true k20a3 for 100$

I posted this already on 92-00 civic/delsol then found this sub forum so thought itd be better classified here. dont mean to repost.

Hey guys, so right now i have d16y8 that im hoping to turbocharge over the year as the money keeps flowing in and i slowly order car parts. I live in memphis and theres not too much parts around on nashville i found a k20a3 for 100$ the price alone said something was wrong for me. i called him, he emailed me plenty of pics and said it just needs to be built which isnt a problem for me. i wanted to get yalls opinon before i meet halfway for a 1.5 hour drive. he says it has original pistons, cams&gears, calve cover, rocker arms etc.

he said he listed it for 400 with no bites so hes just tryin to free up space in his little apartment. heres the cl link Click Here
And heres the pictures he emailed me. Theyre links because i dont want the giant blown up pics to make the post/thread look jacked up.

$100 is actually about all a K20A3 is worth. The only usable parts are the cam cover, block, front cover, chain guides, and tensioner. The entire head and rotating assy. get thrown away.
Of all the many various K-series engines produced there are only a few worth spending any real money on, the rest of them are just good for certain common parts.

The K20 will give you more torque than the d16. If you plan on turbocharging the D16, why are you interested in the K20? Are you still in the "almost know what I want to do" stage?

If it were a running engine, I'd say nice score. Since it needs rebuilt, you might be able to find a much nicer platform. Furthermore, going from the d16 to the K20 will require a transmission change. Does it come with that too? Just another expensive part to acquire. If you intend to do a K swap, you'd be better off looking for a K24A1,3,4 engine & tranny.

My opinion is skip the "needs rebuilt" K20A3.
