94 Civic VX stalling/burning oil
Hello Everyone
Im new to the forum but have read a number of threads before. I have a 94 civic VX that the second I purchased became a car from hell. I used to have a 91 DX hatch that never had any issues minus a dead distributor once (or twice).
On to my issue. Beyond having power loss going up hills (in any gear) I recently did a timing belt, thinking my timing was off. After putting it all back together the car starts, runs, until you try and drive it. After driving the vehicle I have to have the pedal on the ground in 1st to go 5 mph. Needless to say I limped the block I made it home and lifted the hood and saw smoking coming from the valve cover.
After the vehicle, and I rested (we finished the job at 11:45 PM) I checked the plugs and there was NO oil above (where the plug wires connect) or below (where the spark occurs) on the plugs. I cannot find a leak above the cam just looking down with a flashlight, and I don't imagine a leak is occurring to the plugs with no oil on them. But I am not any expert hence why I'm posting here.
I love this car even though it has a been a problem child. I quickly learned not to use anything but NGK in the vehicle. The rear hatch has always leaked. And I now have a leak up by the from near the ECU. The SRS light will always be on ( tried resetting but its a previously stolen vehicle)
Again thanks for any help/ideas!
EDIT:
I forgot to mention. Stock VX with d15Z1 (no power) engine, no mods. Though I tore off that ugly fake wood from the dash
