Hi guys I bought new doors and I want to take out their molding off but I dont get it... How can I take them off the door? They dont wanna come and I dont wanna get them broken. Thx in advance
Real simple homie. remove the interior door panel. inside the door there are plastic clips. take some needle nose pliers squeeze the tabs together & the clips will come out. take your time & you should be fine!
If they've never been removed try gently tapping them forward from the door jamb side. A couple of taps and you should be able to see them slide forward. This will slide the molding off of the clip. Once the molding comes off you can remove the clips.
Alternatively you can use two flathead screwdrivers and pinch each clip from top and bottom. The specialty tool does the same thing.
