I have a 03 civic ex and want to put some aspec side skirts on it. My question is are the eBay ones the one everyone uses. Also how do you mount them? Do they screw in at each end or what? Any info will help than.
The Type A skirts? idk of aspec but yes, a good chunk of us get them from ebay... some kits come with hardware for the bottom and some don't come with any hardware at all. haha. I know Jake (OBK) just has screws at the end of each side. that, and 3m double sided tape to hold it in place.
What I did was. You can get some strong glue. I used Urethane glue. Get some metal screws. Two people would be nice. For permanent side skirt and painted. Alot more extra work than tape.
First test the side skirts fit. ***
check how you want to place it.
Put nice even layer of glue on sideskirt on the top where it will stick to the panel. On sides if needed.
Put some metal screws on each side.
Put some along the top so the skirts so it will have proper contact.
Let it dry fully. Grind the top of metal screw. Fill in with body filler/fiber glass filler.
Sand nicely. Paint.
Permanent Side Skirts.
Some extra work but for me is better cause after the stupid double sided tape started to coming off. I ended up breaking my side skirt some how by hooking/stepping my foot on it while getting out.... Stupid plastic.

They might sag a little but if your sides come with hardware, just bend the bracket to where the side skirt still sits how you want it to sit. Basically, its the brackets for the bottom that leave it flaring out a bit. Some like it, some don't. I personally don't but i haven't had the time to somehow make it work.
Don't know if you can really see the flare but this is what you get if you use the brackets for the bottom (if you get any, at all)
I've ordered 2 sets and 1 came with hardware, one didn't.

All of these pics are with the brackets, which I still have on. Its not much, but it does bother some.

They're not called "aspec" You need to search Type A or simply just 01 honda civic sideskirts. They're called something else by different companies. Type A, Type S, Rs...etc
