LOOKING FOR GSR P72 CHIP
Sup HT, I have a Eg with a 95 gsr swap. Basic mods, intake, DC header and exhaust. I've been looking to get my ecu(p72) chipped for a little bit more power. I know I'm gonna get an ear full about this lol, but I found this SST MTP chip on ebay. Heres the link

I'm not looking for anything crazy, no full tune no full stand alone stuff like that. This is my daily driver. > so I'm wondering if anyone has used this on your cars?? Where their power gains?? Or is their something better that you have used?? Thanks guys. # Honda-Tech

Don't try to chip your ecu on your own without extensive soldering re-work experience and the correct tools.
I can't tell you how many times I have seen people try and chip their own ecu with ebay kits and ruin the ecu's traces or end up with a car with a 9500 rpm revlimit that causes them engine failure etc.
If you want it done right, spend the extra time & money. Do research find out what companies have been in the industry the longest etc.

ok so I did a bit more research. I found that Phearable.net sells basically the same chip that I found on ebay, tho it's blank. I herd of someone that had a p28 with a Type R map?? i tried looking up some info on that but couldn't really find any solid info. Is their something like that I could do with the p72??
If your ECU is OBD1 you could probably send it to Phearable and have it socketed and chipped with a custom basemap. You'll be getting a quality map with quality soldering but don't expect it to cause a big performance boost.

yea man, I've been doing some reading and they seem like best for what I want to do. Thanks HT.
or have a local tuner do it for you.
having your car tuned is best way to go.
you get more power( power that is dyno tested not some ebay claims)
you get better gas mileage also.
the 300-dollars you spend on tune will be made up for in the gas money you save later.
i got a basetune from xenocron and it was damn good( very close to final tune)
just make sure you get a good tuner(again alot of people claim they are great tuners but then your engine blows up lol)

Don't buy from that guy. He scammed me on some items i was selling. So i would not trust his products. Also, chips like that arent reliable. You can do that yourself, buy a chip, chip burner and download crome. Crome comes with a few basemaps and you can add additonal features. Thats all he is doing. He claims to be tuning for air fuel ration. Which cant be done with out your car being their.

very true guys. The ebay crap was like 15$ I think. Phareable.net sells a basic tune for about 38$. Much rather waste a little but more cash to get quality performance. Thanks for the input HT.
